Ascent industries was seeking a business to business ecommerce solution to expand the distribution of their cannabis products. Through our initial engagement, we proposed a range of solutions, and settled on a quick and simple prototype that would cost-effectively deliver their initial requirements. The business case supported a possible replacement within a year as their business model solidified.
The resulting application supports a supplier/distributor/dispensary model. Distributors are eligible for tiered pricing, and are able to set up accounts for their dispsensaries to allow them to place orders, which are then fulfilled by the supplier for delivery by the distributor. The solution includes distributor-branded invoices, with appropriate pricing, for dispensaries. The inventory and pricing is synchronized with Quickbooks, which they are using to manage their back office activities.
